Maternity or Parental Leave of Absence
Wawanesa Life requires notification when an Employee ceases to be Actively at Work due to a Maternity or Parental Leave of Absence.  When this notification is received in a timely manner, all insurance coverage can continue for the leave period to which the Employee is entitled to under the legislation in his province of residence.

In jurisdictions where the continuation of insurance during Maternity or Parental Leave is mandated by legislation and the Employee wishes to discontinue any required premium contribution, a copy of the Employee's written and signed notice to that affect must accompany the request for termination.
