We are seeking to provide Missional training for emerging leaders in three areas:

  • Quest Local – A 3 year apprenticeship (see below)
  • Quest Intercultural – through S.E.A.N. training (contact Dan or Joy Degaris)
  • Quest Global – Internships overseas (contact Vince Vetro)

We welcome your input into the refinement of these training opportunities.

OVERVIEW of QUEST LOCAL

The Quest apprenticeship program provides an alternative pathway into part-time or full-time vocational ministry within the C&MA in Canada.  It offers local informal training for emerging leaders over a 3 year period, rather than formal theological training at a Christian University or Seminary.  Participants would include young adults exploring ministry possibilities, mature persons pursuing ministry as a second career or early retirees desiring to invest their lives in Christian service.  Those persons completing the program will receive the “Foundations for Ministry” Certificate and will qualified to pursue accreditation with the C&MA (Official Worker – non-portable status), qualifying “graduates” to be deployed into such ministries as church planting pastor, house church pastor, satellite campus pastor, pastoral staff ministries in established churches, etc.  Participants will be able to earn credits which can be transferred to Ambrose University/Seminary.  Some graduates may choose to pursue further theological training.

Quest will be local church centered and holistic in scope, including growth in character (spiritual formation), comprehension (biblical and missiological principles) and competency (in-the-field ministry skills).
